Lexar JumpDrive TwistTurn
The JumpDrive TwistTurn has a sleek design with a competitive price. However, the overall performance is what you would expect for an entry-level drive.

Introduction

It can be difficult for those lacking knowledge about technology to choose entry-level technology products. Without knowing about the various aspects and drawbacks of certain technologies, you could easily end up choosing a dud. With that in mind, Lexar has introduced the various versions of the JumpDrive family hoping to build goodwill in the entry-level market. Today, ASE Labs has the 4GB JumpDrive TwistTurn model on the bench in order to see if they have succeeded.

Packaging

The packaging shows off the product through a window in the front. Particularly notable about the packaging is not the presentation, however, but is instead how the packaging is designed. Whereas most flash drives in the entry-level market are saddled with annoying clamshell blister packs, Lexar instead packages the TwistTurn using two pieces of laminated cardboard glued together over the plastic bubble (more similar to how batteries are usually packaged). Not only is the packaging much easier to open than traditional blister packaging used in similar electronics, there aren't any jagged plastic edges to cut yourself on while you are opening it.

Packaging Front

The rear of the packaging is pretty straightforward. It mentions some basic specifications as well as some general guidelines as far as OS support. It also mentions the 2-year warranty. There is no lanyard or anything included in the packaging, so what you see is pretty much what you get.
