Hipstamatic and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners Launch Dali Museum GoodPak

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Hipstamatic and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners (GSP) have developed a custom imaging effect, The Dali Museum GoodPak, to benefit The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.

To help build awareness of, and drive visitors to, the new building of The Dali Museum opening on 1.11.11, GSP partnered with Hipstamatic to build an effect that creates surrealist overlays to photos, a modern day ode to Dali. The GoodPak comes with Salvador Lens and Film, and is an upgrade to the existing Hipstamatic app.

GSP and Hipstamatic have pledged to donate any income from sales of the GoodPak directly to the museum.

In addition to the GoodPak launch, there is an online photo contest and the winner, as judged by none other than John Waters, will be flown to the opening of the new building on 1.11.11. Nine other finalists' artwork will also be featured in an exhibit at the museum.

"We're incredibly excited to spread the word about the impending opening of our new building through such a smart use of modern technology. GSP and Hipstamatic have created an idea that will not only get people excited and help them release their inner Salvador, but also raise much needed funds for the museum." - Hank Hine, Director, The Dali Museum

"The new Dali Museum GoodPak is a modern day ode to the brilliance that is Dali, and results in a new HipstaSurrealist style that is sure to challenge how we experience reality." - Lucas Buick, CEO, Synthetic

"We just tried to imagine what Dali himself would have liked. He would want it to be fun, beautiful, and surprising. I think we nailed it." - Jeff Goodby, Co-Chairman, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners
