Intelity Adds Room Controls Integration to Its ICE Software

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 13, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Intelity has added its newest feature to its ICE (Interactive Customer Experience(TM)) hotel software solution -- Room Controls.

Hotels with room control systems can now have them fully integrated into Intelity's ICE, the only full solution guest service technology.

Room controls becomes the thirtieth (30th) guest service feature in the ICE Touch guest room interface. With the touch of their finger, hotel guests may adjust the lighting, drapes and climate (heat and air conditioning) in their guest rooms from a touch screen or laptop. In larger guest rooms and suites, the settings adjust by location within the suite.

The Room Controls feature appears as part of the ICE guest display that is pictured below. There are four ICE versions with this new feature including ICE Touch (on touch screens including iPads), ICE Mobile (on smart phones), ICE Lobby (on touch screens) and ICE Connect (via guest laptops).

"It's the ultimate convenience for guests and the ultimate competitive advantage for hotels," said David Adelson, CEO of Intelity. "Now, every guest service from in-room dining to housekeeping requests to room controls are a touch away."

Setting the Room Scene

The addition of Room Controls not only serves the guest but helps the environment, too. Hotels can set the guest room controls upon check-in and following check out. That means there will be a comfortable room setting during the guest's stay and an energy saving before the guest arrives and after they check out.

Intelity's system also allows hotels to pre-set controls based upon the preferences of repeat guests or those who express preferences when making their room reservation.

"Guests can have room controls on their smart phones so they make adjustments before they return to their rooms each day," Adelson said. "Extending control and interactivity is what Intelity's ICE is all about."

Innovations

Intelity created the world's first interactive guest service technology presenting the full array of 30 guest services via guestroom touch screens and a "back end" ticket/request/content management tool that measures return on investment and integrates into all hotel (POS, PMS, etc.) systems.

Intelity also developed the first and only full hotel services menu on the iPad tablet; the first and only full hotel services iPhone application; and the first and only full hotel services software for in-room TVs.
