WineMatch.com Connects Consumers Directly to Wineries and Wine Deals

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Dec. 14, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- WineMatch.com has created a system that truly levels the playing field so that small- and medium-sized wineries get the same outfacing digital marketing exposure as their larger corporate-based counterparts. Winery to Consumer Sell-Through (W2C), is a database-driven engine that connects wineries directly with consumers and vice-versa.

Utilizing "push" technology, wine matches, winery events and winery deals are automatically pushed to the consumer. All a consumer needs to do is sign up for a free user account, browse wines and add favorites. The rest is automatic. Consumer feedback and consumer requests to have wines profiled are also available to wineries. WineMatch.com is free of charge to the consumer, unlike many other wine sites. Our search abilities have doubled since the August launch and will likely double again in the next year.

WineMatch.com also offers a no-cost program for a winery to begin participating by allowing them to add a wine, and as many deals and events as they wish.

Traffic has increased 100% over the past two months as wineries have begun offering deals directly to consumers on WineMatch.com. Wineries work with WineMatch.com to offer specials on wine not found anywhere else. The WineMatch Profile Wheel(TM) displays major wine characteristics and is both easy to interpret and represents the wine as being a multi-faceted product. This wheel replaces the older 100-point system. WineMatch.com uses multiple tasters, a state-of-the-art wine chemistry lab, calibrated and verified by standards and outside labs, and data provided by the wineries. WineMatch.com combines all this information and creates a "unique fingerprint" of the wine, which then becomes the basis for matching similar wines. These similar wines are matched on twelve to twenty characteristics today, and those characteristics will nearly double next year.
