UBM TechInsights Continues Its Expansion in Asia

New office opening driven by strong demand for technical analysis and intellectual property services

OTTAWA, Ontario, Feb. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM TechInsights, the preeminent provider of services for companies seeking to leverage and protect their technology and intellectual property, today announced the further expansion of its operations in Asia, with the opening of a dedicated Taiwan office and additional staffing in Tokyo and Shanghai.  Growing demand for intellectual property services, along with technical and business analyses are the impetus behind the expansion.

UBM TechInsights' new office in Taiwan, its third in Asia, reinforces its commitment to clients in this market.  The new office in Taipei will be managed by newly appointed Director of Sales, Taiwan, Cindy Lin, a veteran of the Taiwan semiconductor industry. In addition to Ms. Lin's appointment, UBM TechInsights has significantly expanded its presence in Tokyo, Japan with the addition of Tetsuya Sakaedani, Principal, Masanori Nouchi, IP Consultant and Ryusuke Ishiguro, Sales Manager.  The company also continues to grow its Shanghai operations with the addition of Jinwei Wu, IP Consultant.

Cindy Lin, Director of Sales, Taiwan will lead UBM TechInsights business development activities in the Taiwan. Prior to joining UBM TechInsights, Ms. Lin was the Director of Sales for Hinton Information Services, formerly Professional Publications Agency (PPA), where she served as the regional representative for UBM TechInsights. Ms. Lin has close to a decade of experience supporting UBM TechInsights clients.
