Monster Madness Now Available for Tegra 2-Powered Android Devices Including Motorola's Xoom

Console-Quality Shoot 'em up Hits Mobile Devices Using New NVIDIA Mobile Processor

MIDLOTHIAN, Va., Feb. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading videogame publisher, SouthPeak Interactive, today announced that their shoot 'em up action game, Monster Madness, has been released for Android devices featuring the brand new NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor. Motorola's Xoom is the first tablet to market with dual-core processors and the ability to run Monster Madness.

Distinguishing it in the mobile game space, Monster Madness is the first game to require the power of Tegra 2 due to the complexity of its 3D graphics and real-time physics. In addition, Monster Madness takes advantage of accelerometer and multi-touch interface technology to play better than ever.

Built using Unreal® Engine 3, Monster Madness brings all of the frenetic action and graphical quality of the console game to Android, along with 2-player co-op mode over Wi-Fi.  Monster Madness also offers players all of the features of the original console-based game including upgradeable weapons, vehicular combat and waves upon waves of voracious zombies.

"SouthPeak's Monster Madness is the first title to fully leverage the multi-core architecture and graphics capabilities of Tegra 2," said Bill Rehbock, General Manager, Mobile Games at NVIDIA. "SouthPeak has taken advantage of what Tegra 2 offers to deliver unmatched visuals and they've improved on the original console game with superbly intuitive controls. Monster Madness gives mobile gamers a taste of what's to come on this powerful platform."

"We recognize the importance of the mobile space in gamers' lives and we are excited to take this first step into bringing them the opportunity to play true console-quality games on the go," said Melanie Mroz, President and CEO of SouthPeak Interactive. "We anticipate that the demand for games such as Monster Madness will grow as the ability to have a cutting-edge game experience becomes integrated into the daily life of the mobile gamer and we look forward to expanding our presence in this new frontier."

Developed by War Drum Studios, Monster Madness is now available on the Android Marketplace for a limited-time only suggested retail price of $9.99.  For more details or for more information on Monster Madness, visit http://www.monster-madness.com.
