Autowork Online Now Reaches Over 2,000 Customers

MAM Software receives strong demand for its new 'cloud computing' auto shop management solution

BARNSLEY, England, March 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MAM Software Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of MAM Software Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: MAMSD), is delighted to announce that its Autowork Online web-based auto shop management solution is now used by over 2,000 businesses across the U.K. Launched in Spring 2010, Autowork Online is a pioneering 'cloud computing' solution that is delivered as a service over the Internet - users simply access the software with a standard web browser.

Autowork Online offers extensive functionality for managing all core repair shop activities including creating repair orders and invoices, scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate service records. It also provides a range of web-driven features including vehicle registration mark (VRM) lookup, all-makes parts cataloging, repair times, service schedules and technical data.

Autowork Online is being promoted by a growing number of parts distributors who are supporting the solution's integrated parts ordering functionality. Compatible suppliers can link directly to Autowork Online, enabling repair shops to identify parts, check stock and place orders directly from within the software.

As a 'cloud computing' solution, Autowork Online is hosted and maintained centrally, with all updates, patches and backups undertaken automatically at source. Customers do not purchase a local copy of software, but rather pay a monthly subscription to use it.

"Cloud computing offers many distinct advantages over traditional software deployment," said Mike Jamieson, MAM Software's CEO. "It reduces the upfront investment and simplifies ongoing maintenance. By eliminating the need to install the application locally, cloud solutions alleviate the burden of software upgrades and data backup. There are no disks to install or databases to update. VRM, catalog, repair and technical information are all accessed on-demand via web-services."

"We are extremely pleased with the progress we are making." continued Mike Jamieson. "We have secured approvals from a number of national repair chains and are receiving increasing interest from our distributor customers who are seeking to promote or integrate with Autowork Online. We are confident of continuing our U.K. growth and have already begun developments to replicate Autowork Online's success in the U.S. aftermarket."
