The Nation's Largest Auto & Home Insurer Announces the Launch of State Farm® Latino on Facebook
- Establishes a new way for Latinos to connect with State Farm in either English or Spanish.
- This site offers Facebook users opportunities to participate in polls, share ideas or express opinions on topics that are important to the Latino community.
- To inaugurate this page, State Farm Latino will focus its online community engagement efforts around the upcoming 2011 Latin Billboard Awards in Miami, FL, on April 28th.
BLOOMINGTON, Ill., April 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The nation's largest auto and homeowners insurer announces the launch of State Farm Latino, a new social networking page for Latinos on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/statefarmlatino).
State Farm is the first national insurance company to create a bilingual page for Latinos who subscribe to this social networking site.
"Due to the increasing number of Latinos who use Facebook on a daily basis, we have created an online meeting point where all U.S. Hispanics who are fans of State Farm can share or express their ideas and opinions, become informed or just spend a pleasant time with us, in the language of their choice," said Tim Van Hoof, State Farm director of marketing.
To inaugurate the launch of State Farm Latino, State Farm will invite Facebook users to converse about the nominees, presenters, and performers leading up to the Latin Billboard Awards on April 28th.
This site will also encourage music fans to visit Telemundo.com where one can register to win a trip and tickets to attend the Latin Billboard Awards show in Miami, FL.
State Farm is the title sponsor of the 2011 Latin Billboard Awards. The show will air live on the Telemundo Network on April 28th.
