6th Edition of the International Cybersecurity Forum

PARIS, December 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

The European event that acts as the reference in cybersecurity will be the
opportunity for all players in information system security and cyberspace security to

position themselves at the heart of debates and challenges

The International Cybersecurity Forum comes within the scope of an approach to
encourage brainstorming and dialogue aiming to promote a European vision of cybersecurity
and to strengthen the fight against cybercrime, the European Union's priority, laid out in
the Stockholm European Program for 2010-2015.

This 6th edition will take place at the Lille Grand Palais on the 21st and 22nd of
January 2014 and all the conferences, plenary sessions, round-table discussions, workshops
and debates will fall under 7 main themes - The fight against cybercrime, Industrial
dynamics, The security function in businesses, Technologies, Cyberdefense strategies, New
digital citizenships, Geopolitics of cyberspace.

Dedicated to a professional audience, the FIC gathers every year security experts
(ISSMs, ISDs, etc) and non-specialist decision-makers (CEOs, HRDs, legal directors, etc)
from both the public and private sectors, with the purpose of opening up the debate on
cybersecurity.

The FIC is also very relevant to the strategy of developing a position dedicated to
cybersecurity and is proof that it has become a major social issue that arouses the
interest of administrations, corporations, local collectivities and the general public.

    About the International Cybersecurity Forum

In the Stockholm Program for 2010-2015, stepping up the fight against cybercrime has
become one of the priorities of the European Union. Convinced of the need to be a key
player in this effort, the French National Gendarmerie launched the first edition of the
International Forum on Cybercrime in 2007.

The 2014 edition of the FIC (http://www.forum-fic.com/2014/en/
[http://www.forum-fic.com/2014/en ]) is jointly organized by the Department of the National
Gendarmerie, the Regional Council of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and CEIS.

Held in Lille, a pioneering think tank in the fight against cybercrime, the FIC soon
became a major event for security stakeholders in cyberspace in light of its international
scope and of the great relevance of the themes addressed.
