PlayStation 4 Launch in Malaysia
First Buyer of the Country Gets His Console at Launch Event in 1 Utama
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Dec. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The highly-anticipated next generation gaming console PlayStation(R)4 (PS4(TM)) is being launched in Malaysia today. Over 210 million consoles* have already been sold in Europe and America within a month after release. Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SCES) held a "PS4(TM) launch Event" in 1 Utama to celebrate. Pre-ordered customers from selected SONY Stores came to pick up the PS4. Hiroyuki Oda, Deputy President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia, made a special trip from Japan to participate and hold a celebrating ceremony with Malaysia's first PS4(TM) owner and other participants.

PlayStation(R)4 (PS4(TM)) (CUH-1006A B01) computer entertainment system is available in Malaysia from 20th December 2013 at a suggested retail price of RM1,799. Launched concurrently are 23 launch frame titles developed by SCE Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) and numerous 3rd party software developers and publishers around the globe.
PS4 is a next generation computer entertainment system that redefines rich and immersive gameplay with powerful graphics, speed, deeply integrated social capabilities and innovative second-screen features utilizing devices such as PlayStation(R)Vita (PS Vita). By utilizing PS Camera, users can expand gaming ways of PS4 and enjoy different gaming experience. Therefore, on the launch day of PS4, SCEH will launch a value bundle set of PS4 and PS Camera. Users can play "THE PLAYROOM", a preinstalled application, to enjoy Augmented Reality content.
SCEH will continuously promote and enhance PlayStation Platform with PS4 through further introduction of attractive products and services to all Asian customers.
