A Business Grant Opportunity That's Too Good to Miss
MANCHESTER, England, January 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Data Centre and Internet Infrastructure firm M247 has announced that it's now offering
special connectivity deals as part of a Government grant scheme that's only recently been
rolled out in highly connected locations across the UK.
While we continue to hear mixed economic messages about growth and austerity, there's
always been at least one constant; the UK Government states repeatedly that Britain is
committed to being a world leader in Internet Technologies and a valuable demonstration of
that commitment comes in the form of what's called the Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK)
Voucher Scheme.
This scheme is part of a strategic plan to improve Internet and Network connectivity
across the country as a whole but, in this instance, the grant is only currently available
in the 22 so-called "SupperConnected Cities" around the UK. The BDUK Connection Voucher
provides financial support to businesses, and other qualifying bodies, who are fortunate
enough to be located in these cities.
The voucher, worth a maximum of GBP3000 per application, will allow qualifying
businesses and 3rd sector organisations, such as not-for-profit and non-governmental
organisations e.g. voluntary services, social enterprises and charities, to make major
step-change improvements to their Internet connectivity, either by upgrading or by
installing a completely new system.
With one of the most extensive private networks in the UK, M247 is well placed to
service this scheme in each of the cities and has a broad range of the latest connectivity
technologies that go way beyond what's generally understood as "broadband".
This is considered to be a valuable opportunity to make significant improvements to
connectivity around the UK and the Government says it plans to maintain the scheme until
March 2015. Anyone interested in taking advantage of it is advised to act now while the
offer is on the table.
