.ARCHI to be Launched on April 8, 2014

PARIS, March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Architects will soon be able to have their own Internet extension

Starting from April 8, 2014 the world's architects will be able to use Internet
addresses with .ARCHI extensions, set aside exclusively for them. For professionals and
web surfers: more clarity and better identification of the profession and its members in a
saturated web environment.

.ARCHI: more than 1.5 million architects targeted in the world!

Developed in close partnership with the International Union of Architects (UIA
http://www.uia-architectes.org) .ARCHI is intended for architects and is strictly
reserved for them and their organizations worldwide (agencies, member sections, schools,
media, museums, etc.).

Long awaited, this new extension has already received support from renowned
architects, such as Paul Andreu (Roissy airports 1 and 2, the Peking Opera, etc), and
Corinne Vezzoni (Palais des Festivals in Cannes, the Marseilles Tramway, the MuCEM Centre
for Conservation and Resources in Marseille).

Available for purchase from April 8, 2014, the .ARCHI extension will allow architects:

    - To be easily identified on the Internet

    - To have simpler web addresses

    - To differentiate themselves by showing their membership of the profession.

    - To build pertinent and meaningful Web identities, allowing them to be more visible
and better develop their activities.

"We are very happy to see the enthusiasm of the global community of architects for the
new .ARCHI extension, as can be evidenced from the continuous flow of advance orders we
are getting from almost 100 different countries," says Godefroy Jordan, Starting Dot's
President and founder. "This involvement reflects the growing commitment of architects
with a Web presence to communicate with their customers and their environment."

A solution to the congestion and saturation of domain names

In 2011, 200 million domain names were registered (over 100 million of which were
.com). More than 90% of French and English dictionary words have been registered.

Starting Dot was officially chosen by ICANN, the international body responsible for
Internet domain names, to administer .ARCHI globally, for which Starting Dot has adopted a
community model. The young company is reserving registration of the .ARCHI domain names
for professionals. It will carry out inspections and will supervise the .ARCHI extension
in partnership with representatives from the profession through a Supervision Committee,
presided by a director of the UIA.
