Network-agnostic SIM Platform Enables Low-Cost Global Data Roaming
Teleena, a leading global mobile services enabler, today announced its Global Mobile
Data Service (GMDS), which enables any mobile device manufacturer, machine-to-machine
service provider, or brand to act as a virtual global mobile operator, connecting cellular
mobile devices to hundreds of mobile data networks globally.
GMDS is powered by Teleena's Smart SIM, a unique network-agnostic subscriber identity
module (SIM) platform that enables card-based, embedded and software-based SIMs to be
programmed dynamically over-the-air to register onto any wireless network. Smart SIM can
be preloaded with any mobile Operating System (OS) or downloaded, so distributing the
technology does not require complex global logistics.
GMDS allows mobile service providers and brands to extend mobile services globally
