Viper Announces App That Will Remotely Start, Lock And Unlock Your Car From Apple Watch And Android Wear

VISTA, Calif., Jan. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Viper, the 30-year leader in car security, today announced that Viper SmartStart, the app that gives users the ability to start, lock, unlock and track their car from virtually anywhere in the world with their smartphone, will be available for Android Wear and Apple Watch in early 2015. Viper made the announcement at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Viper's smart watch functionality will be available for free download for Android and iOS through the company's newest version of the Viper SmartStart 4.0 app. Viper SmartStart 4.0 is compatible with all Viper SmartStart hardware, which means all existing and future Viper SmartStart users who purchase an Apple Watch or Android Wear product will be able to take advantage of the smart watch features at no additional cost.
