Letv Sells Half a Million Smartphones Within an Hour
NEW DELHI and BEIJING, November 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
China-based leading internet multinational, Letv, witnessed an overwhelming response
from its fans in the country, when it sold out 550,000 units of its latest smartphone - Le
1s, on e-commerce portals Lemall.com and JD.com - China's largest direct sales platform,
within an hour. The sales also registered several records, such as the 'most sold single
branded' product on all Chinese e-commerce portals.
Letv recently launched its 2nd generation Superphone on October 27th, and within the
first 7 days, recorded 11 million presale bookings.
The phone, which comes in a full metal body, has key features such as the 8-core Helio
X10 Turbo processor, Type-C fast charging technology - that allows users to charge their
phones for 5 minutes, giving them a talk time battery life of 3.5 hours, 3GB Ram + 32 GB
storage, mirror-surface fingerprint recognition, and its unique EUI 5.5 (Eco-user
interface), allowing customers seamless access to Letv's leading ecosystem and content
services.
Speaking of this achievement, Letv Founder, Mr. Jia Yueting said, "The overwhelming

wildly accepted by all!"
Letv is the creator of the 'ecosystem products' concept in China as all its products
can interact with each other. For example, its phone can interact with its TV and control
the future Letv green car. Furthermore, with a single membership, users can enjoy

Letv just entered the phone business this April by releasing three models of smart
phones, and by September, the three models have become the top contenders in their
respective price ranges. In September, Letv sold 587,000 units of phones, taking its

Pros sold out within 1 second; Le 1 phones sold out within 3 minutes and 46 seconds.
- June 2, 2015: 100,200 units of Le Superphones were sold out within 17 seconds.
- June 16, 2015: 100,000 units of Le Superphones being sold out within 21 seconds.
- July 7, 2015: 30,000 units of Le Max phones sold out within 3 seconds.
