A Smart Kegel Training System to Boost Your Health Below the Belt

Minna Life's Kickstarter campaign for kGoal, their interactive pelvic floor training system for women, received $267,000 in pre-orders within its six-week campaign. It was this overwhelming success that inspired the company to address the rarely discussed importance of Kegels for men and to innovate an easy-to-use exercise product for the underrepresented market.
"Pelvic floor exercises, or Kegels, are often associated with improving women's sexual health," explained Liz Miracle, MSPT, WCS, and Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF. "What many don't know is the same pelvic floor muscle group also plays a huge role in men's sexual health. For men, regularly exercising pelvic floor muscles has the ability to improve a number of sexual health and performance areas, including orgasm quality and control, erection performance and sensation, supported bladder control and core strength."
kGoal Boost's innovation lies in its non-invasive yet engaging design. The product is shaped like a small bike seat that the user sits on. It then uses an air pillow sensor to detect and measure pelvic floor muscle contractions. Paired with its mobile app, the device provides proportional biofeedback (both tactile and visual) in real time and allows users to track exercise history, set goals and reminders, follow guided workouts and use a game option to make workouts more fun.
