Now Streaming: DOGTV For All PetChatz® HD Greet & Treat® Videophone Systems

Alliance between pioneers in pet communications technologies will let pets watch DOGTV on pet-safe, eye-level PetChatz to ease anxiety

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Think Netflix on-demand...for pets. DOGTV, the first TV channel designed specifically for dogs, has entered into a streaming and co-marketing agreement with makers of the PetChatz® HD videophone. It will be the first time the revolutionary TV network will air over a system created specifically for pets.

PetChatz HD is an award-winning pet camera enabling pet parents to be there from anywhere for their pets by interacting via their smartphones, tablets or PCs. Parents can have two-way video chats with, and dispense scents and treats for, their pets though the durable, pet-safe PetChatz HD system, which is mounted flush to the wall over an electrical outlet, inside a kennel or on a stand - eye-level with the pet.

With this new alliance, PetChatz and DOGTV will begin to engage in joint marketing efforts. Additionally, pet parents will soon have the option to purchase and stream DOGTV over the PetChatz system for their pets while away. DOGTV provides friendly programing scientifically developed to provide the right company for dogs when left alone. Through years of research with some of the world's top pet experts, special content was created for DOGTV to meet specific attributes of a dog's sense of vision and hearing and supports their natural behavior patterns.

DOGTV currently airs via multiple cable TV providers, DirecTV, as well as connected devices such as Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PCs, Macs, Apple devices and Android devices on a subscription basis. DOGTV streaming over PetChatz systems will be the first time the network will air on hardware specifically designed with pet viewing and pet safety in mind.

"There's a peace of mind that comes from knowing our pets feel safe and secure while we're away," said Lisa Lavin, PetChatz founder and CEO. "We created PetChatz to help parents and pets ease their separation anxiety, and DOGTV is the perfect complement to the features already offered by the PetChatz unit. Through this strategic alliance, we are excited to provide yet another way to calm pets' anxieties and enrich the pet-parent relationship."

"A great amount of work and research has gone into creating content for DOGTV, developed for years by leading pet experts," said Zuri Guterman, DOGTV's CMO. "We are excited to partner with PetChatz to feature this content on a viewing platform created just for pets. Together with PetChatz, we look forward to providing true home enrichment for dogs nationwide."

The new partnership makes all of DOGTV's programming available to PetChatz HD owners and their pets. In the coming weeks, parents will be able to purchase monthly subscriptions of DOGTV subscriptions in the PetChatz e-commerce store (http://petchatz.com/store/) for $9.99/month. Also, all new PetChatz HD customers will receive a free month of DOGTV with the purchase of a PetChatz HD unit. Next, DOGTV will be available for streaming on PetChatz HD in 2017. Also as part of the alliance, the two companies will promote each other's services to their respective customers via social media.

Throughout the day, DOGTV content will be available to stream live on the PetChatz HD videophone with the aim of reducing the chances of boredom-based behavior occurring in pets and to provide mental stimulation. Parents can interrupt the stream at any time to start a two-way video chat with their pets.
