Percello to Demonstrate Unmatched Performance of PRC6100 at Femtocell Asia

SoC with Integrated DDR Increases Security While Reducing Overall Cost and Size

RA'ANANA, Israel, March 3 -- Percello Ltd., an Israeli fabless semiconductor company developing highly integrated and low-cost digital baseband processors for UMTS and LTE femtocells, will demonstrate the unmatched performance of its PRC6100, the industry's most integrated digital baseband system on a chip (SoC) for residential use, at Femtocell Asia 2010, March 8-9, 2010. The newest member of the Percello Aquilo(TM) femtocell SoC product line, the PRC6100 enables femtocell vendors to reduce cost, size and power of femtocells while ensuring security.

The PRC6100 maximizes digital integration on a single chip to deliver the lowest cost and greatest security available for an HSPA+ femtocell. The chip contains high speed MIPS24Kc CPU, peripherals, femtocell L1 engine (FLE) and embedded DDR memory. As a result, it does not require any external memory or digital parts on a four layer printed circuit board (PCB). The PRC6100 is compliant with 3GPP HNB specs. It supports at least eight users and offers HSPA+ data rates of 21.6 Mbps downstream and 5.76 Mbps upstream.

"The PRC6100 enables carriers to deploy HSPA+ femtocells that are smaller and cost much less than $100," said Yoav Volloch, vice president of Product Management at Percello. "In addition, the PRC6100 introduces new security standards for femtocell with its integrated DDRs."

Samples of the PRC6100 are available.
