Well, you could get a water cooling kit, but I think those are somewhat expensive.

There's one other option that I've done.
First:
- Get two fishtanks (one about five inches longer and wider than the other, the smallest one being big enough to fit your computer in with extra room)
- Put the smaller one inside the larger one.
- Put your computer in the smaller one.
- Fill the larger one with cold water.

This is easy to do if you get large enough fish tanks. The smallest one has to be pretty damn big, so that you can open all of the drives. I've done this before. Just make sure that none of them crack, and, hopefully you don't go to many LAN parties. -_-

The setup you have there seems to be cooling the ambient temp of the area around the computer. You still need some way to get that air flowing through the computer in an efficient way.

That is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever read in my entire life. And I read GW's memo about wanting to go to Iraq which was written pre-9/11.

Aron Shaltz of ASELABS did a review a while ago, and it's a good kit albiet hard to setup.

If you're looking for something adequate which will be very easy to setup, check out this: http://www.coolerguys.com/840556033646.html

I've found some pretty positive reviews by searching neoseeker, and again, it is VERY easy to setup since the radiator goes right where your 80mm or 120mm exhaust fan goes.

His idea isn't that bad, it is just the wrong way to go about it. Using the fishtank may be a good idea because of the surface area of the water. You may not even need a radiator. The thing is, the system needs to be watercooled.

Her idea was simply experimental. I made the system run faster. That's all I was trying to prove to a friend.

Hooray, third person.

Well, it would be super cool to use a fishtank as a resevoir, and you wouldn't need a radiator that way. Of course, you'd need a hellofalot of space and you'd need to use some chemicals to keep stuff from growing in there. So easy to setup too, just use a submerged filter from your local pet store, hook the output from that to your waterblock, hook another tube outputting the water from the block back into the tank.

You could even cool this setup easily by using one of those water chillers pet stores sell for fish that like cold water, and drop it into the tank. Of course you'd have to insulate the cpu and the fittings etc just to be sure about the condensation.

Oh, and speaking about computers and fishtanks and odd cooling setups, you can also submerge a PC in oil to cool it off very effectively. THG has a story about it here: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/01/09/strip_out_the_fans/ as is said in the article though, motor oil would be better, albiet stinkier.

Wow, I never knew that. That's interesting. I'd be too scared to try it myself, though.

I would try it, but just think about how stinky it would be! Especially motor oil...Plus, can you imagine what that would do to your carpet? OMG!

I could care less about my carpet. It's dirty anyway, and I keep my computer on a ledge above my desk - I've gone through about nine computers by putting them on the floor. This one's my baby - not taking any chances.

Well you should never put em on the bare floor, of course. That's why they have rubber feet in the first place.

Yeah. I've realized that over time. But I could care less about my others. My XPS system = my love child.
