It is a wondering that any new high def DVDs will sell from either camp with so much incompatibilities.

I for one refuse to buy either of them. Down with DRM.

2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!

I am rooting for Blu-Ray, but with DRM, it is just lame. Meh, I figure that if I do get a next gen player, it will be Blu-Ray.

Its not who a person is in the inside, but what he does that defines him.

No reason for me to get rid of my DVD's, they work just fine, I see no improvement with any of the new ones except for more storage space. And I don't have a problem getting up off my butt to switch out a movie every now and then.

Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty.

And when Blu-Ray (in my opinion) wins and DVD's are discontinued by major studios in favor of ICT activiation?

Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today?
Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection.
Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!

The storage space for backing up on a Blu-Ray is too sweet. Other than that I'll stick with DVDs,.. for now....

remember that VHS are still sold.

then... use the even-newer-next-gen DRM-free révolutionary supermedium that is invented and marketed at that time.

In not crazy about going to purchase or spend my money in movies I already own in DVD, I can see Blue Ray and HD-DVD becoming popular for backing up and burning video in about 5 to 7 years from now, once Cam-corders and Drives become mainstream and affordable. For now ill stick with my burnable CD's, DVD and hard-drives ahh throw in a thumb drive too

:-P
