Welcome to the forums.

Core 2 E6700: $543.
eVGA 680i Motherboard: $272.
2x 8800GTX: $610.
2GB PC9600: $430.
500GB Seagate: $160.

Total: $2625

Spend more on a better hard drive and RAM.

2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!

As already specified by Aron Schatz the difference is clear. I would also suggest to spend more on RAM, because it will be helpful in the long run.

I agree get better RAM, this is where most all systems bottleneck and you'll be kicking yourself if you build such an expensive computer and skimp on the RAM.

Having sufficient RAM means you have a stable PC with stable software. There should not be any issues on smooth running of the system if you have enough RAM.

I have a friend that thought he was saving by cutting back on the ram when he ordered his computer. Now he realizes the crashing has cost him more in the long run.
