Vacations, etc.??

I was wondering if anyone out there was going on vacation soon, or holiday? I have 2 weeks coming and am going to Hawaii soon, very soon , I do hope. I look so foward to my annual vacations. Anyone else, I would love to know what you all do for your holiday?

Generally, I lie and tell people I'm going someplace and then stay home. It's the only way I can get them to leave me alone for a few days.

I had all these plans to go to all sorts of places this summer, friends wanted me to go to Florida and London, family wanted to go to Chicago. But it was more time than money that made it difficult.
Accer, that's a very good idea. I don't get bothered much by people anymore but I wish I had that excuse when I used to get pulled in all directions!

I love my friends and family but if they find out I've got a few days of downtime they need me. I tried telling a few that I was just looking for some quiet and being honest. The problem is that everyone thought that they were exempt from the "leave me alone" policy!

I wish I could say I had some plans to go on a nice vacation. But I think other that camping and hitting the local water and amusement parks we will be sticking close to home. My husband had to use all his vacation time due to family illness so we don't have any vacation time coming for awhile.

Oh isn't that always how it works? Then when you want to do something, they're busy all of a sudden! Oh well...if they can't respect your downtime then they aren't true friends!

Oh they respect it, they just don't think I mean THEM when I say I want people to leave me alone for a few days. I don't want to hurt their feelings by telling them it IS them (and every other human on the planet!) so I jst do the "I'm going out of town" routine.

My hubby gets off of work this Thursday and doesn't have to go back until July 9th. His plant closes down for the week, so that's when we HAVE to take vacation. We're planning on a trip to visit my parents.

Have fun on your trip next week.

I love to go fishing also. We usually go night fishing and do alot of it when we are camping. Hoping to go camping here in the next couple of weeks.
