What I assume to be another graphics card error. Sun May 11, 2008 2:48:36 PM#52388Perm Link
Well, my graphics card came the other day, and it is pretty awesome (for the price). However, I've noticed when playing some games on it that there is some weird border in the bottom right corner that shows what is under the game "window" in a few games when played. I think it is specifically an OpenGL thing (because Vice City, for example, doesn't show it). Here is a pic to show what I mean.
Any ideas as to the cause?

Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today? Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection. Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!
GeForce 6800, using the latest drivers that I can run (which are admittedly quit dated).

The Omega custom drivers? I think I have the X-Treme G drivers on right now. I'll give it a shot when I get home.

Any other ideas anybody? I went to Omega's web site, and they only have the 169.xx drivers (which probably won't run on my computer) and the 66.xx drivers (which are absurdly old).

The X Treme G drivers are the first ones I tried that weren't the ones that came on the install CD.

Okay, I think I might know what is causing the problem. For some reason my computer (mainly the drivers) seems to think that the GPU is connected through a PCI slot, when it isn't. If I could figure out a way to fix this everything might fall in place.

I'm seeing if updating the CPU drivers will fix it.
