You can burn a CD, just cant sell, dont u pay for the CD already? or do u got to buy the song off the net if u dont got? Somethign like that
Last CD i bought is............um...been so long......I think Three Doors down for my Girlfriend
why support the band, make "free" cds I mean I bought mayb 30 CDs for mettalica, korn, and alien ant farm the hole deal then I figured heck why buy CDs when u can bun then @_@
The only CDs there worth anything are the Metallica ones. And that's only counting:
"Kill 'Em All"
"Ride The Lightning"
"Master of Puppets"
"...And Justice For All"
Anything after that is worthless.
But if you truly do care about music, you would buy CDs. Why support the band? Because most bands don't live off of the band. You don't realize that most bands have full time jobs, families, all kinds of stuff that they have to worry about. And when they take money from a label, they have to pay it all back. It's just like taking a loan. So they don't make their money off the band. In some cases, they lose money from it. This is why you should buy CDs, because if you truly appreciate their music then I would assume you would want them to keep producing it.
Obviously this doesn't apply to the crap you named, id est, Korn, latter Metallica, Alien Ant Farm. But when you start to look deeper into the music scene, that is, past the Top 100 Charts, then you'll realize that burning isn't always the best way to go.
OK, after coming down from the high I was on from getting the cd, it is mediocre. But still good.
And come on, Hole? Korn? Yeesh. I mean, imagine if just one person bought a cd, and everyone got it burned. The bands would make money. Meaning no more albums. And plus, I love buying cds, especially since the cds aren't just plain with the title written on them, and that you got album art, which I love.
I lost my original copy of this and had to replace it. And I've gotta say, right now I'm on a total Katatonia binge. I'm amazed at how good these guys are. Seriously, even in their sleek-er radio friendly days right now, you cannot deny their sheer talent at song-writing. Katatonia is just an amazing band. Seriously. Check them out. Nowwwwwwww.
It's irrespective of taste. Unless you have a taste for pop appeal and lack of depth. =P
I prefer anything that distinguishes itself to my instinctive liking. Butchered syntactical construction, but it makes sense.
thats what u think and we all have difrent tast in music.what kinda music do u like?pika
I hate when people say "That's what you think, it's just taste".
No it's not taste.
It's a FACT that Pink sucks.
It's your OPINION whether to like her or not.
thats what u think and we all have difrent tast in music.
Saying "that's just what you think" is not a way to validate your point. Everybody knows it's what he thinks. If what he thinks is fact, then so be it, but there is no need to restate the obvious.
God bless:
Jeffrey Dahmer, David Berkovitz, Albert DeSavo,
Ted Bundy, Albert Fish, John Wayne Gacy,
Edward Gein, Charles Manson, and Harvey Carignan.
That argument has lost all meaning (assuming it had any to begin with, which it didn't). You can have your own taste, but you can't ignore the facts. For example, all boy bands suck (it's a known fact, my friend), yet some mindless people still choose to like them...for some reason. Another example, unrelated to music: you may think you're smart, but you're still a total dumbass (in general, not specifically). It's your OPINION that you're an intelligent individual, while the FACT remains that you have little to no intelligence quotient.
So yeah, I've said my piece. I'ma go eat now.

...Man, either everyone buys C.D.'s too often, or it's just been a long time (5 years) since I've bought one...but, the reason why I don't buy C.D.s is because I buy records...I only have one C.D. player and it's currently broken, thus I use the only thing I have avaliable to play music on, which is my rp.
I buy records some times. But I don't buy them to play them. I just buy them for novelty/resale value.
I have in my posession a Sabbat record for "Dreamweaver," I know must of you aren't familiar with Sabbat, but they're a British metal group that made other Brit groups look like Linkin Park back in the day. I also have most Pink Floyd recordings. I have a "Wish You Were Here" with the original blue cover on it. Like I said, novelty/resale for me. Otherwise it's CDs. And I just haven't updated this list at all since I've been here.
I have Brit vinals too...do you like Madness? My opinion: eh...Linkin Park is crap! They definately deserve the two finger salute! (two finger salute: Brit salute that's nicer than our middle finger)
Right now I'm listening to a band by the name of Mithras. Last year they released an album ("Worlds Beyond The Veil") that was fucking superb. Definately a lot of Morbid Angel worship, but good GOD these guys are incredible. There are times during this album when the music is so surreal that it almost seems that the band is improvising what they are playing. For example, some of the solos are so full of emotion and passion it's just incredible. Definate eProps to Mithras for being one kick ass band.
New additions:
Porcupine Tree - "Lightbulb Sun"
Porcupine Tree - "Stupid Dream"
Porcupine Tree - "Up The Downstair"
...never heard of them...but, I just remembered that I actually did buy a c.d. after The Aquabats!...I bought The Best of Blondie...that was, I don't remember, but some time after 1999.
