That reminds me, I was just looking at dumb laws in the US and there was one in Virginia that caught my eye. Okay, did you know that it's illegal for guys to tickle chicks there? Also, it's illegal (if you are a child) to go trick-or-treating on Halloween...that's freaking crazy. Sorry, this was kind-of off topic.

In Texas the penalty for attempted suicide is death.
How ironic, and yet, how predictable.

I don't know what to think about Texans, or at least their judges. They are always shooting down moral laws. If you really study the history of the U.S. you'll find that Christians wrote the constitution. Some try to say that Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, etc. were Deists (people who believe God created the world and left). But Franklin and Jefferson were both church attending Christians. The letters of Jefferson
show that he was without a doubt a born-again Christian. They went with what was right not what 'special
interest' groups THOUGHT was right. Amendment 1 says, "Congress shall make no law concerning (that is having to do with) the establishment of religion... What that means is if a religion was already established (which it was) then they could not unestablish it. Also federal courts are unconstitutional. They have know right to shoot down a law while quoting a foreign law to backup their decision. They are supposed to base their decisions on Constitutional law.

OoPart: an artifact that "seems" to be out of context with the surrounding evidence.
Ex.: A fossilized footprint of a human child containing a fossil of a crushed trilobite. Pronounced O-Part.

That was a really nice history lesson but the post itself went no where.

What is your point?

No one asked to hear about the religion of the people who wrote the constitution. I don't want to sound like an ass, but that was very, VERY pointless.
