As for the topic: The Wii has Smash Bros which is one of the best party games available. Actually, the Wii has the best party games out of all the systems. If you have friends that come over, the Wii is the ticket.

The 360 is more for a single player online thing.

Brawl is awful. That being said, the Wii technically has Melee as well, so I guess it balances out. I would argue Rock Band is a better party game, though.

Atari made 4 game systems. The 2600 and Pong sold in the millions. The 5200 and 7800 floundered.
Sega also made the Master System well before the Genesis, which sold in the millions in Europe and Brazil.
The Wonderswan, which you called "least known game systems in the universe," sold very well in Japan and Korea (mostly due to a couple of killer apps).
The Neo Geo had the longest life of any console ever made, from 1990 to 2003. It sold quite well when arcade sales are taken into account.
The Neo Geo Pocket Color nearly toppled the Game Boy before SNK went bankrupt.
The TurboGrafx-16 was an early Sega Genesis competitor that died before the SNES came out, but it was huge in Japan.
The Intellivision was the system that launched the first console wars back in 1980. They sold a few million of them.
The Colecovision was the latecomer to the first console wars, but boasted perfect ports of many games at the time.
Even ignoring the fact that you claim that the Dreamcast was made by Atari (I'll let your "precursor to XBox claim slide, as that is technically accurate), can you honestly say that you even knew of any of those systems, much less own them?
The Magnavox Oddysey was the first game console ever made, way back in 1972. It sold in respectable numbers.

I did all of that from memory. The only thing I looked up was the sales of the Intellivision and the year the Odyssey came out.

True about the Commodore 64 and 128. But they did make games for them on floppy disks and tapes.
Also, I had an original Atari 2600, Intellivision and Sega when I was a kid. They were very cool back then.

As for the topic at hand. I would actually recommend the Wii for one main reason. You get up off your ASS more instead of sitting there all the time and turning into a big fat ass worthless out of shape kid.
