Sonic The Hedgehog 4

That's it, it was announced and is a direct sequel to S3&K. Hopefully SEGA doesn't screw this one up. They seem to be doing things correctly this time around, though. They aren't putting in an assload of extra characters that no one cares about. The focus is on Sonic.

Based on the video, they still aren't capturing the speed of Sonic's feet that well. It should be blurred like the sprite based ones.

I also don't like the episodic format. That means they charge more for less gameplay. I hate when companies do downloadable stuff.

Edit: Direct sequel? Why does Sonic have green eyes, still? And they put in the homing attack instead of the insta shield... I don't think so.

Never, not once, has Sega so thoroughly deflated the little enthusiasm I've had for a Sonic game in the past. Even when Unleashed was all like "werehog for half of the game and the other half being unplayable garbage" I still had hopes. But not for this any more. FUCK. YOU. SEGA.

That being said, I hope that they can salvage something out of this mess to pique my interest; but I think Sega has just managed to do something that Sonic Advance 3, ShtH, STH '06 and Sonic Unleashed couldn't even do: Kill my interest in the franchise.
