What is the oldest computer everyone owns right now? I'm going to make an article on how to give life to an older computer and just want to know what everyone has.

2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!

Linda's stepdad had a 386 still running on his desk. I think it was just DOS-based.

How about in the 150MHz and up range (or any Pentium, K5 class chip machines)?

Windows Me. It's pretty bad, it can't barely turn on properly.

I got a question for you... do you have any idea what you are talking about?

Windows ME is an operating system.

Windows ME is HARDLY an operating system. It's more like a "you're lucky if it is operating system".

I have an old Compaq running Pentium II that was, I beleive, the last Windows 95 machine left in the store when new. It was so old in fact, that when I got it, I could have bought Windows 98 SE at the same time. And it was still better than Windows ME. Huge Grin

Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today?
Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection.
Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!

My oldest computer is a Macintosh Performa 460. It is over 10 years old, I have it stored in some old closet, probably all dusty and won't work. It had an 030 processor (which is about equivalent to a 386) and an 80 MB hard drive and 4 (!) megs of RAM.
