Yeah, this was expected... <a href="http://money.cnn.com/2007/09/05/technology/apple_announcement/">New iPods based on the iPhone's interface have been released</a>. Apple also dropped over 5% yesterday because of price cuts!

As for the iPod Touch, Apple watchers had speculated for days that Apple would unveil an iPod similar to its new mobile phone. Though slimmer than the iPhone, the iPod Touch features a similar multitouch interface, built-in Wi-Fi and the Safari Internet browser. Like the iPhone, the iPod Touch can play YouTube videos. I think the iPod Touch is something sweet, but I'm very much more interested in the 180 gig (!) iPod Classic.

I think apple made bad move by introducing the ipod touch so early. Think about it, the Ipod Classic & the new nano are more appealing when it comes to banging out your buck(point intended). People nowadays FILL their Ipods with music,videos,games,porn...and...other..stuff... go the ipod classic would be the best deal. With that said, ipod touch only comes in 8GB & 16GB but it does come with the perks on the iphone minus the phone. I'd take 160GB with new intergrated tech and metal casing over the molesting of a ipod anyday. Well...maybe until the day they upgrade the GB more!
