Question about RAM

Is Laptop RAM standardized like desktop RAM is? Or is it proprietary like laptop GPUs are? I ask as I want to boost the RAM in the Lappy, but the official Dell RAM is quite expensive.

Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection.

It is standard.

Just find out what type it is.

It's probably DDR2 (perhaps DDR3, but I doubt it).

2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!

I know what type it is (DDR2 667). I was just wondering whether RAM for laptops used the same system regarding compatability that it did on desktops.

Yes, it is standard.

All you need is the speed and type and there is no different type of RAM with that information.
