ok, i got this computer, two , i fixed my windows 98 but now all the god damn pixels and color is fucked up, i went into properties and settings and it wont save my changes even wehn i immeditly turn the pc off and restart it.
for my windows 2000 pc, the shit is fried, it boots up, gets me to the windows screen, loads up start and the icons. then doesnt even let me open up the god damn recycling pin. it wont troubleshoot or let me run virus scan or shit. i went and deleted AOL and YAHOO off it and other things, leavign the internet browser only, yet it wont bring up anything unless you click on it constantly, and when you done, it wants to go reallllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy slow. and it annoying the hell out of me, i went to go find the floppy to reboot it with the floopy but cant get one. now i can go get one, or is there a way i can fix this through my pc without the floppy?

You can try doing a repair install of both OSes using just the CD. They both can boot off their own CDs, no need for a floppy drive.

Make sure your BIOS is set to boot off CD first.

2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!

that the problem, i have the windows disk, but my 2000 doesnt even want to open any files, disks or floppies when it loads up. it doesnt even load up anything when it boots. it starts up, goes to the main load in screen with the icons and stuff, but it refuses to open any files and or programs.

Read what he wrote more carefully. You boot right off the CD, not the hard drive with the screwed up OS on it. If that doesn't work for you, you probably have to rearrange the boot order of your storage devices in the system BIOS to make it hit the CD-ROM drive before the HDD.

ok, did this, brought up the command/ screen and cept saying error, reformatted it with the boot cd, then it dies down. now im confused at this and got it wiped, restarted with the startup disk. let me on for about an hour. died out again and completely started the same crap all over again. this time though, it wont boot up even on safe mood or on command prompt.

Try trouble shooting your hardware devices one at a time. Start by disconnection all device and hooking them up one at a time. Many times faulty memory, failing HD's, or a failing PSU can cause system instability. A good way to finding the problem is to find what is not.
