Just thought I tell you Wed Mar 3, 2004 3:53:46 PM#6431Perm Link
Okay guys I just thought I tell u that my visits to this site the next month or more will be very scarce I'm not leaving just gone for a while because I have to go to the libary to get on the internet now that my cd-rom drive broke and I have to by a new one so that I can load in my internet installation disk so I will see you around. But soon I will get it working and be on more than you can imagine (laughs evily) as for now tis be my goodbye.
I have good news for some but bad for people who hate me, but i have fixed one half of my problem I have fixed my cd-rom drive but I still need to install a phone jack in my room.
Phone jacks are a sinch...i installed one in my room within 2 hours...but if you don't have all the equipment or can't find the place where you want to install it from your attic, it can take longer...but that's common sence.
Do this in a day off or something...because you might just need the time or you'll have a lot of stress and stuff...Okay, Do you already have a phone jack somewhere else in your house? If you don't, then I suggest pay the 120, but if you do: first befpre doing anything make sure your phone's power is off, like unplug the phone cord from your phone so you don't get electrocuted...locate it and trace where it leads to in your attic ( you can just use a pencil because it's easy to erase) I hope you have a great idea of where it leads because I know my house from top to bottom. If you go to your attic and find your cord, all you need is another long phone cord, longer then what you need to go from your original to that one that you are wanting to make...I sure hope you don't mind sharing your phone lines...but anyways, strip part of your original phone cord with wire strippers or wire cutters (be sure you dont cut the wire in half just split it enough to merge the two lines together) also, strip enough of the end of the new cord to wrap around the exposed electrical cord part of the old one...when you have both metal cord things twisted together to where a circut can happen or whatever use enough electrical tape so that while in your attic and turned on, it won't catch your house on fire...then, make sure you know exactly where you will put your outlet...drill then saw a hole about a half inch in then a normal phone jack outlet that you can cheaply purchase at like a builder's square or home depot...if its a half inch smaller all the way around then the outlet that you purchased, then it's easier to attach the plastic or whatever outlet thing to the wall, you know...before you drill the hole make sure the part of the wall that you are drilling the hole on is hallow...if it is hallow and you can find it from the attic just use one of your friends or something to be where the hole is while you drop down the unattached end of the new cord...when it gets to where the hole is, strip that end of the cord and follow the directions on the plastic or whatever outlet and it should show you where to attach the cord to the outlet thing...then attach that thing to the wall and presto! you have an outlet...just be prepared to get a little annoyed or agrivated, but eventually in a day you'll have a phone jack thing....But I have to go...I hope this helps you and I hope I didn't leave anything out...layter daze.
Dammit my computer thing is not fixed yet though my cd-rom drive is fixed I do not got internet yet, but I hope to have it by the end of the summer if not I will have to take matters into my own hands.....hahahahahahahahah
I some would should die in my family as a result of murder some one hack in a delete this message....... hahahaahha
