Hi Aron,
That was an interesting review by you. Tell me:
a. how would the cable provided by Entertainer 7.1 be connected to the sound card?
b. what is that jumper-looking thing on the front of of the card?
c. how would you connect the Entertainer 7.1 to an internal Plextor 712A DVD drive? what cable would you use?

Let me answer your questions.

a: The cable provided is an optical cable for use in very high end sound systems. Normally, you don't use that.
b: Those jumper things on the ports of the cards are for the very same cable for question a.
c: The sound card would connect to a CD Audio cable, standard with any CDrom drive. There are two connectors on this card for it.
